These Sponson Washers will spread out the pressure
put on the heads of the screws/bolts when performing hard turns.

When a watercraft goes into a hard turn the sponsons are put under extreme stress. The sponsons are attached only by the screws which cover a very small surface area. Sometimes in a really hard turn these screws can pull right through the sponson and or break the sponson in two. These Sponson Washers are designed with a special shape to help redirect the stress over a larger diameter making it less likely that the screws will pull through or break the sponson in two pieces.
